This week we will look at some upcoming activities at Dalton Middle School and a visit from special guest, Ms. Bremner from the Media Center.
The Middle School Football Jamboree is this Saturday, August 27, at Murray County High School field. Each game is a 20-minute running clock.
- DMS 7th Grade team will play Eastbrook at 9:00 and Bagley at 10:15
- DMS 8th Grade team will play Eastbrook at 11:55 and Gladden at 1:35

BOOK REVIEW – Ms. Bremner shares information about a Georgia Book Award Nominee, Al Capone Does My Shirts.
The Academic Bowl Team will begin school practices next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30 until 4:30. The school try-outs will be held Friday, September 23rd. Sign-up with Ms. DeBolt.
You asked for it in the leisure time survey last year. Here's your chance to learn more about the exciting outdoor sport of backpacking. Dalton State College is offering an evening class on Tuesdays in September. See Mr. Kratz for more information.
Students who have family serving in the military are meeting with Dr. Vance's. This is an opportunity to receive support and encouragement while family loved ones are away.
We are again collecting BoxTops for Education (from all General Mills products) coupons this year. Please place your name on the back of each coupon and drop them in the big pink bin outside the attendance office. We will have our first drawing on Friday, August 19, so be sure to turn in your coupons!
